Terms of Service
The rules for using Unrestricted AI. Short, direct, and written to be actually read.
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Unrestricted AI (“Unrestricted,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) covering your use of unrestricted.chat and the related chat product (together, the “Service”). Read them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to both you and the organization.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you are 18 or older, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you are not prohibited from receiving the Service under the laws of the United States or your country of residence. Where local law requires a higher age of digital consent, that higher age applies.
3. Accounts
You create an account by signing in with Google or by registering with email and password. You're responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at security@unrestricted.chat if you suspect unauthorized use. One person per account; no automated account creation; no sharing credentials with parties outside your organization.
4. Acceptable use
Unrestricted is an uncensored chat product — the refusal surface is narrower than most AI products, not wider. That is not a license to do harm. You agree not to use the Service to:
- Plan, facilitate, or carry out violence against any identified person.
- Generate sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualizes real identifiable people without consent.
- Produce functional malware, ransomware, or exploit code targeted at a specific victim, system, or organization without clear authorization.
- Create content designed to impersonate a specific real person for fraud, harassment, or non-consensual depiction.
- Violate applicable law, infringe the rights of others, or evade sanctions or export controls.
- Attack the Service itself (DoS, scraping at unreasonable volume, reverse engineering except where law forbids restriction, probing for vulnerabilities outside an authorized research program).
Everything outside that floor is generally fair territory. Topic by itself is never the test; use is. If we get it wrong, tell us.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the prompts you submit and of the outputs you produce. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your content as needed to operate the Service and provide it back to you (for example, to render your conversation history). We do not use your chats to train models and we do not sell them. You are responsible for your content and for how you use any outputs.
6. Model outputs
The Service produces probabilistic text output from a large language model. Outputs can be wrong, outdated, biased, or fabricated — confidently. Don't use outputs as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or any other consequential decision without verifying them against a qualified source. You're responsible for the outputs you rely on or publish.
7. Plans, limits, and changes
The Service is offered with a free tier today, and may include paid tiers in the future. We may impose and adjust usage limits (rate limits, context-window caps, concurrent sessions) to keep the Service stable and fair, and we may change features over time. Paid plans and their specific terms — pricing, quota, billing cycle — will be presented at the point of purchase and are incorporated by reference.
8. Payments
Paid plans are billed through a third-party payment processor. Fees are charged in advance on the cycle you select (monthly or annual). Plans renew automatically on the cycle you select unless cancelled before the renewal date. Taxes are your responsibility where applicable. Except where required by law or stated at the point of purchase, fees are non-refundable. You can cancel a subscription from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, including the software, interface, design, logo, and brand, is owned by Unrestricted or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. No rights are granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal information. By using the Service you agree to the practices described there.
11. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers — cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, identity providers, and model APIs. We're not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party services, and their terms may apply to their portions of the Service. Outages or changes in third-party services may affect availability.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT MODEL OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR USE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS; IN THOSE PLACES THE ABOVE APPLIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNRESTRICTED AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Unrestricted and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the Service.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if operation of the Service is no longer sustainable. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute not subject to mandatory arbitration or a small-claims exception will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence.
17. Sanctions and export
You represent that you are not located in, and are not a national or resident of, a country or territory subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of restricted or prohibited parties. You agree not to use the Service in violation of any U.S. or other applicable export-control or sanctions law.
18. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemic, labor disruption, government action, internet or utility failure, or third-party-service outage.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
20. Entire agreement; assignment
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms presented at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and Unrestricted regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service.
22. DMCA
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice that satisfies 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to dmca@unrestricted.chat. Include (a) your signature, (b) identification of the copyrighted work, (c) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location, (d) your contact information, (e) a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized, and (f) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized agent. We aim to act on properly formed notices within five (5) business days of receipt. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
23. Trademarks
“Unrestricted AI,” the Unrestricted logo, and related marks are trademarks of Unrestricted. You may not use them without our prior written permission, except to refer to the Service truthfully in editorial or nominative contexts.
