Unrestricted AI vs ChatGPT
ChatGPT is a strong generalist, but it declines or hedges on many sensitive and mature requests. On personal plans it also uses your chats to train OpenAI's models unless you turn off “Improve the model for everyone” in Data Controls — only Temporary Chats are excluded.

Claude is an excellent writer and reasoner, but it's among the more safety-forward assistants — quick to caveat or decline on mature, sensitive and edgier creative topics. Since late 2025, consumer chats can be used for training unless you opt out; Incognito chats are excluded.
